//Turn word-wrap on! OLDSKOOL AMP'D INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Step 1: Ensure that you have the latest version of UT. Step 2: Run the UMOD file Step 3: You will now need to run the oldskool.exe file included in the zip. It will only ask two questions, the path of unrealtournament and if you have Unreal. It will automatically change some settings in the unrealtournament.ini and, if you have Unreal, detect the cd rom drive and automatically copy the maps and music into the unrealtournament directory, so you can play unreal in UT. Also, please note that because the program is written in Qbasic (a pretty slow language), you may need to hold the buttons for a second or so, so the program will detect the key press. If you can't run EXE files (don't have windows), please see the bottom of this file for instrucations. Step 4: If you have unreal installed and the music set up (info in main text file), extract the unrealmusic.int file into the unrealtournament\system directory Step 5: If you want to have access to the hidden song, extract creditsmusic.int into the unrealtournament\system directory and then rename the credits.umx file (in the ut\music directory) to creditsmusic.umx Step 6: Got Rocket Arena? Extract oldskoolra.u and oldskoolra.int into the system directory to be able to play RA with oldskool weapons (select oldskool rocket arena in the gametypes) Step 7: Got Infiltration? That is you HAVE installed 1.75 before. (just getting 1.8 will not work) Extract infbackround.u and infbackround.int into the system directory to continue using the infiltration backround (select infiltration in the options-->oldskool config-->options-->backround when you start UT again. Step 8: Play! mess around with options too! Mac/linux users INI hacking: Since you can't run the DOS exe file (well, I don't think you can), you need to do the following to install OldSkool Amp'd: Open up your unrealtournament.ini file. Search for the line that reads: [UTmenu.utconsole]. A few lines down (or possibly right underneath) you will see rootwindow=something. Make this line read(no quotes!) "rootwindow=olroot.oldskoolrootwindow". Now save the ini and exit. This is required to access about 90% of the features of OldSkool Amp'd! To play Unreal in UT, please view the main readme.
